Yerevan - Mathematician
SEEKING: Quantitative Analysts to work in a fast-growing financial software company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn financial mathematics while interacting with experienced colleagues;
- Develop new analytical and statistical models (for portfolio analysis and investments);
- Help implement the models in an advanced programming environment together with a team of experienced programmers;
- Provide technical support and assistance as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with particular emphasis in one or more of the following areas:
- Applied mathematics: linear algebra, ordinary and partial differential equations, probability theory;
- Statistics: linear and non-linear regressions, time series models, non-parametric and Bayesian methods;
- Numerical methods: finite differences, numerical integration, linear and non-linear optimizations;
- Experience with organizing, processing and analyzing large quantities of data;
- Familiarity with a modern programming language - such as C++, C# is a big plus;
- Familiarity with Excel, and other packaged analytical software such as Matlab, SPlus, or R is a plus;
- Willingness to learn new skills;
- Graduate degree and research experience in physics, mathematics, statistics, engineering or another highly quantitative subject area;
- Good knowledge of technical English language and fluent knowledge of Russian;
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas;
- Ability to effectively work under strict deadlines and in a team environment.

С одной стороны радует, конечно, с другой — возникает мысль: неужель настолько плохо с квалифицированными кадрами, что приходится уже вовлекать иностранные рекрутинговые агентства, чтобы найти специалистов.
