NKR LJ-community
Thanks to a very kind person, who paid for the rename token, we now own [info]nkr. Because there is already a community [info]karabakh which is intended for Russian-speaking audience, I suggest [info]nkr to be an English-language community. Also I hope it will bring some life to English-speaking Armenian circles here at LiveJournal. Thus we need someone who's fluent in English, wants to help with moderating the community and has time to do that.

Any ideas?

P.S. I will not allow to make it a tribune for anti-government or defeatist propaganda, so go figure ;)

Gladly, as soon as someone writes it in English ;)

The same is with the interests. I just completed the list of interests to [info]karabakh, so it just needs to be translated into English. Skip the repetitions with capital letters.

Yes. I have only one request: please keep them short and sweet :)

i gladly volunteer, but if there is a person who knows more on the subject, it would be more benefitial for the community.
also, i think armenian lj community needs a strictly reference-only (one user vouching for the next so we'd know the stuff that's posted there isn't reposted and taken out of context elswhere). there are times when i feel like initiating discussion on things that need to be changed within armenian community in armenia and aboard, but i usually shut up because i don't want the information travel from one user to another with scandals and complications. i have observed it happening a few years ago, and it got so ugly that i'm not taking my chances. on the other hand, writing one paragraph in armenian will take me days or weeks. and i'm sure it's the case with many armenians abroad, so all communication remains strictly politically correct, which equals to no communication to the point.

Well, we all learn by time, so no problem with that.

Didn't understand this one, please clarify.

Also, you don't need to right in Armenian: I want this to be an English-language community about Karabakh.

I'm not talking about the Karabakh community, I'm talking about general, cultural community.

Well, unfortunately it is impossible to guarantee everyone's integrity here. Being and Armenian isn't enough guarantee that a person will be honest and will strictly follow the netiquette.

Anyway, I am adding you as a moderator there.

great, i'll pay close attention to the community.
as for netiquette-here's the thing. the way it can stay under control is that if anybody wants to join, they have to be referred by existing member of the community--for which purpose, a post-dated post can be created and existing members would leave just the user names of people they're referring--no other information needed. but they, obviously, have to use their judgement basing on their communication with the referred. rationality control, so to speak.
