VARTAN OSKANIAN: ARMENIA'S FOREIGN POLICY WAS EFFECTIVE DESPITE MANY OBSTACLES

RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian declared in Yerevan today that the year 2007 was productive for the foreign policy of Armenia, despite a number of regional and global difficulties. Speaking to a press conference today, among these difficulties Mr. Oskanian pointed to the absence of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey, the tension in Georgian-Russian and American-Iranian relations, the unsolved conflicts and intensification of GUAM activity in international organizations, the unstable situation in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East.
The Foreign Minister noted that in 2007 there was some tension between Russia and the United States and disagreement on certain issues, particularly Kosovo, the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE), the US missile system, etc.
According to Vartan Oskanian, although all the factors enlisted created serious obstacles for the complementary policy of Armenia, it was effective.
The Minister expressed confidence that this was greatly promoted by the positive assessment of the parliamentary elections by the international community, which reinforced the international reputation of the country.

Azay Guliyev, Azerbaijani MP as quoted by Azerbaijani news agency: I met with him in prison. My colleague Rabiyyat Aslanova and officer of our embassy were also there. Ramil Safarov with his tolerance, honor and behavior protects our country's image.

Prostitution may be considered a highly moral and honest occupation when compared to the activities of the Armenian collaborators of IWPR. And Tom de Waal, the Caucasian editor of IWPR, is nothing but an «intellectual pimp», introducing no-so-smart Armenian amatures into the sphere of professional journalistical prostitution.
After the recent desecration and destruction of Christian and Jewish cemeteries in Azerbaijan, some Naira Bulghadarian from Vanadzor publishes an article on the web site of IWPR named «Armenia: Sad Fate of Azeri Graves. Government won't fund restoration of Azerbaijani cemeteries, saying they do not have any intrinsic cultural value», where she subtly critisizes the government of Armenia for not wanting to spend money on restoration of the graves of Azerbaijani Turks.
Will this hypocrisy ever end?
Проституция может считаться высокоморальной и честной профессией по сравнению с деятельностью армянских коллаборантов IWPR. А Том де Ваал — шеф кавказского отдела IWPR — является ни чем иным, как «интеллектуальным сутенёром», вовлекающим не очень умных армянских любительниц в сферу профессиональной журналистской проституции.
После недавнего осквернения и разрушения христианских и еврейских могил в Азербайджане некая Наира Булгадарян из Ванадзора публикует на веб-сайте IWPR статью под названием «Армения: печальная судьба азербайджанских могил. Правительство не будет финансировать восстановление азербайджанских кладбищ, утверждая что они не имеют подлинной культурной ценности», в которой она неявно критикует правительство Армении за нежелание тратить деньги на восстановление могил азербайджанских турок.
Есть ли конец этому лицемерию? |
